The eagle was known as a carrion bird in Germanic literature. A Scandinavian name for the eagle was hræsvelgr, "corpse-gulper," while the Old English epithet guðfugel denoted a "bird of war." Eagles were associated with heroes, and screamed at the birth of prominent warriors who would later feed them upon the bodies of their slain foes.
Yggdrasil, the tree of life, is stamped on the other side of the wallet.
This minimal 3-slot card wallet can comfortably fit up to 9 cards with cash. There are 2 slots on either side and a deeper pocket in the center. The leather is meticulously stained and treated for water resistance. It's then treated with a natural oil to further soften the surface of the leather for a pleasant feel. This is perfect for formal occasions as well as every day use by those that don't want a bulky bi-fold or tri-fold wallet jammed in their pocket.
